Run-free day before the doomsday

It's 20th Dec 2012, one day before the doomsday in Mayan calender. This topic is so hot on FB, office even among strangers. Everyone seems to happy that "tomorrow's is the end of the world". No body is worrying, indeed. People more worry about income tax, election and properties price.

Running has not much related to this, but for the record, I have a run-free day today.

I have this frustration for not going for a run.
After 3 days of rest, I returned to run on Tues for about 9 km. Feeling strong. However Wednesday were forced to turn back at 2 km due to pain outside left knee. Feeling all down. Decided to rest today but end up sitting inside the room feeling all demotivated.

You couldn't recover after the marathon.
You want to be on the road but the leg says no.
You have another event next week.
Since the marathon, you haven't been out for a good long run.
You have two new shoes and a new GPS running watch but couldn't try it.

Lots of complain.

Days after days of running has given a sense of going out for a run in the evening. Not able to do so give a feeling that something goes wrong. Perhaps, now it's a sign for me to do other cross training, or a rest for longer time, or to think of something else of my life, or, to let me do some feedback of life before the end of the world.

Perhaps a question for me is, what to do when you were injured? How you adjusted your near goal May be thinking all on my own is like chasing my own tail.

Anyway, just some thought during the frustrated time.

Forget about Mayan, tomorrow is 冬至 in Chinese calender. I'm hoping to eat some Tang Yuan 汤圆 from mother when got back to home.

 冬至快乐!
