A busy week: Annual Round the Houses Run

How many things can fit in for 7 days a week?
It was a busy week, besides daily life, also things happening around.

Early of the week, runner friend that admitted to ward due to racing in Ironman last Sunday was transferred to normal ward, posted first FB photo and recovering.

Thursday morning, reading from FB the shocking news of reknown politician / lawyer Karpal Singh past away in an car accident. All this years heard and read about him on the newspaper and now only know more about him from the many articles on him after the incident. What astonished me most is his life after his accident on 2005 that left him confined to wheelchair. At the age of 65, hit by a car from behind while the taxi he took already arrived in front of his house. At that time, he had all the reasons in this world to rest but instead he continued to be active for 9 years until another accident stop him forever. What a fighter spirit. The patience, passion and the spirit in him is really tremendous. He will always be respected and remembered.

On working life, it's moving fast. Trying to close any dateline before going for leave. However there always be something that come "urgently" or "suddenly or so on. The engine was almost out upon Thursday afternoon.

On training, the left foot was feeling pain "between muscle and bone" on Thursday afternoon. And was feeling very tired so skipped the training. Skipped the training on Saturday to rest more. Had flu symptom on Sat as it was a really packed day.

Sunday morning participated in Annual Around the Houses run. It was a 2.4 km run starting from Padang Polo and run one loop around "the houses". It's my familiar route and favorite spot. Continue long run after that to complete 27 km. It could be due to rest, condition was good today.

Met with Cari Runners friends whom I seldom meet with unless during event. It's good to see everyone was still running and had breakfast after the run. Half way running to botanical garden met with JinJi, talked a while and took a photo After finishing botanical garden loops bumped into colleagues coming out from car prepare to jog. It's really a happening Sunday and it's good to see all the running people.

2 more weeks to the race.
Wish everything will go well.
Pray hard.
