Not a good year for rat? A week with all the setback

The "winter" has passed, no rain for weeks, weather is so hot that grasses at Padang Polo turn yellow and can smell dry plant in the air. Grass and sand stirred up by football player on the field. Smell dust in the air.

Morning run didn't fill with cold air anymore.

It's a new year. New challenges await.

In the office, all the new plans take place, time tables, meetings, works piling up. Everyone try to fulfill the duty. And I've lost my count. Which one first and which one next and which one left?
Out of office, I got to find a new place to move. It's new year, so something must change. People moving so do you.
Computer out of order after two times repair.
And some other personal stuffs. All happening at the same time.

Now count the blessings.

Luckily this week is a recovery week, there's only pure running in the schedule - recovery, general aerobic and long run.
No speed work, no tempo.
During the training, my head was at other place. Running is just a process, to fill up time to finish the mileage.
My mind was not in the breathing, not on posture not on the route not on the effort.
Out, finish the mileage, back.

The first mesocycle of training has completed. Is good that I hasn't miss any session.
With the run go into higher milage, including double, and the task in hand, I foresee the struggle in arranging the time.

Another good things is I've found the time to get new shoes - Asics Gel-Lyte 33 2 as a try out. At least I have another choice.

Starting a hard mesocycle training with more lactate threshold run.
Hopefully everything will be alright.

26 kilometers 2:07:24 min 4:54 min/kilometer
Long run, Notes: Pace went below 5:00/min starting 7th km. Able maintain 4:42/min and below starting 15th km. I was suspecting the fast ride of NikeFree 5.0 plus cause the fast pace. The shoes is lighter, extremely flexible and cause higher kicking. However I feel the leg took its toll too, less of cushioning will cause more impact, although in small doses it mean strengthen the muscle. Id say good shoes for speed work and half marathon race and below. Ya, a person with a strong leg able to stand it as a long distance training shoes but I cant.

10.1 kilometers 1:00:09 min 5:59 min/kilometer
Recovery, Notes: Recovery run bring forward from tomorrows morning. Schedule call for am and pm recovery. Run in newly bought Gel-Lyte 33 2. The toes room finally fit me. However, it doesnt as cushion as Pureflow and not as flexible as NikeFree. It definitely not fast and not flexible. Need time to try it out.

  • Run Distance:120.16 kilometers
    Run Time:10:55:27 min
