Weather was far more comfortable from last few weeks, windy and bearable heat. Leg was in good form too. Slight rain half way run create some humid but at least the wind still cold. This was an few enjoyable long run so far. :

2 week post Malakoff and tiredness was better than last week. Still trying best to balance up recovery and key train. Sunday long run was good. The main pressure this week was not from the run but to balance up with with work.

Had a drink with friends yesterday and for the first time there was people spending this much time asking me to stop running. Cut it, balance up, you have to try new things, diversified, meet people. Not convinced even I explained how enjoyable and happy it is to run. The friend continue, what if when you have kids, family, you cannot just run. True enough, I agree. Ok. Alright. In the end I stopped explain. It's good when there are people advice and tell you as a third person. We can't see the whole picture most when we are in it. Although I unable to follow what was told, but it's good to listen.

Coming week (this week while writing) is a recovery week, that provide a mental rest, that just have to enjoy the burn of calories.

  1. goodness, you are doing a monster of weekly mileage. I hope there is some rest in between to recuperate.
Alternate high mileages with a lower one the following week. At this rate, you may be overdoing it. But then again, you are young...

  2. Yup Francis, I had a recovery week last week (1-7 Apr), there were no key hard train and had just some medium-long run.
I was trying to follow the schedule as close as I can when I still have time. The schedule I am following now log around 120-130km most week. Will watch my self closely.
I've skipped the recovery this morning as it was really hard to wake up.
