It turned out... bad.
The pain was still there when I stepped on the road. As I ran I examine the pain n how my body react. The inner ankle and posterior shin feel the pain with every step. The leg corrected itself to avoid the use of muscle of that area.
I started the pace slow. The fitness was dropped and not long before I started to gasping and feel my heartbeat. I can tell my right leg is so happy to hit the road again, and enthusiastically wish to perform a perfect stride, while the left leg was taking each step carefully.
At about 8 km I started to feel the sourness and tenderness on left upper thigh, which I believe is iliotibial band. The leg had corrected itself to use group of muscle that I not usually use in order to avoid the pain. Would this bring to a secondary injury?
It took some effort to complete the 13km.
I decided to took one or two more week off from the road.
That mean I will further discount my training for GC Matarhon.
I started to feel worry and frustrated.
Is this the price for pushing too hard?
